A quick search on the internet revealed the following info. on the Chanel Icon.
"According to the French marque, Chanel designed the interlocking Cs in 1925 as a homage to a monastery in Aubazine, France, where she spent most of her childhood. The French designer was said to have been inspired by the geometric patterns of stained glass windows in the chapel at the monastery."
But I found a possible different source for Chanel icon at Portico :)
Generally, the book was in a very good condition. Here was see a tear in one of the pages of the book.

Amongst other works I discovered a book signed by the authors.
And information on how to adapt a book.
I also got to use the library's antique ladder. Of course, I didn't slide from one end to the other end of the room as in Jungle Cruise and many other movies.
